 🌟 Our December KL & Genting Family Adventure (14–18 December 2025)

December is always perfect for family trips. This year, we’re combining the cool Genting Highlands experience with a Kuala Lumpur city escape. Our goal is fun, food, and family-friendly activities, plus catching up with friends.

14 December (Sunday) – Genting → KL + Birthday + KLCC

Morning – Checkout Genting & Travel to KL

10:00 AM: Checkout Grand Delemen Homestay, Genting

10:15 AM: Take the Awana SkyWay Cable Car down the mountain (kids love the panoramic view!)

11:00 AM: Grab taxi from Awana SkyWay to Royale Chulan Damansara (~1 hour depending on traffic)

12:00 PM: Check-in and 

freshen up

Birthday Lunch (1:00 PM – 2:30 PM)

Options:

1. Flakes SS2 – Famous for Crab-meat scrambled egg croissant, assorted croissants, and salmon with balsamic slaw (~RM25–45 per dish)

Distance: ~5–8 km from hotel, Grab ~10–15 min

2. La Casa Café, Mont Kiara – Western/Italian dishes & pastries (~RM30–55 per dish)

Distance: ~10–12 min by Grab

3. Lovee Family Cuisine – Comfort Chinese dishes, kid-friendly (~RM15–25 per dish)

Distance: ~10 min by Grab

Tip: Book a table if possible to celebrate your child’s birthday in a fuss-free way.

Afternoon – MRT Adventure + KLCC (3:00 PM – 5:30 PM)

How to Get There:

Walk or Grab to Mutiara Damansara MRT Station

Take MRT → Pasar Seni, then LRT → KLCC

Activities:

• Explore Suria KLCC Mall for shopping
• Take photos at Petronas Twin Towers
• Let kids play at KLCC Park playground & fountain area

Reminders:

Allocate 2–2.5 hours for KLCC visit

Carry water, light snacks, and sunscreen for kids

Evening – Dinner with Friend Lovely Vangeline (Sunway area, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

Transport: Grab from hotel (~25–30 min depending on traffic)

Food & Drinks: Choose a family-friendly restaurant or café in Sunway Pyramid / Sunway area (~RM20–40 per person)

Tip: End the day with a relaxed dinner; return to Royale Chulan Damansara by 9:30 PM.

15 December (Monday) – Breakfast + Sunway Pyramid

Morning – Breakfast (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM)

Western Option: Ground Coffee, Tropicana Avenue (~RM20–35 per person)

Chinese Option: Lovee Family Cuisine or Uptown dim sum (~RM15–25 per person)

Late Morning – Sunway Pyramid (10:30 AM – 2:00 PM)

Transport: Grab (~15 min from hotel)

Activities:

• Ice skating / arcade games for kids
• Casual shopping or browsing
• Light lunch inside Sunway Pyramid

Reminders:

Keep track of kids in busy areas

Allocate 3–4 hours max to prevent fatigue

Evening – Dinner near Royale Chulan (7:00 PM)

16 December (Tuesday) – Hector World Mall & Friend Catch-up Sukee

Morning – Breakfast (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM)

Late Morning & Afternoon – Hector World Mall (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

Transport: Grab (~15 min from hotel)

Activities:

• Explore new mall
• Kids’ arcade / fun activities
• Lunch and catch-up with Friend

Reminders:

• Comfortable shoes for walking
• Bring water/snacks for kids
• Check mall hours in advance

Evening – Dinner (7:00 PM)

Near hotel or revisit favourite café (Flakes, Soufflé, or La Casa)

17 December (Wednesday) – GMBB & Meetup Friend 

Morning – Breakfast (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM)

Light, fuss-free breakfast near hotel (~RM15–35 per person)

Late Morning – MRT + GMBB (10:15 AM – 2:00 PM)

Transport:

Take MRT from Mutiara Damansara → Pasar Seni

Short walk or Grab to GMBB

Activities:

• Explore indie arts, crafts, and creative shops
• Meet Friend for coffee or light lunch 

Reminders:

• Allocate 2–3 hours
• Kids will enjoy train ride and exploring GMBB
• Bring snacks and water for comfort

Evening – Dinner (7:00 PM)

Hemma Kafé or Lovee Family Cuisine

18 December (Thursday) – Check-out & Return Home (Flight 1:55 PM)

Morning – Breakfast & Check-out

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Early breakfast near hotel 

8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Pack and finish check-out prep

9:00 AM: Grab/taxi to KLIA / KLIA2 (~40–50 min drive, allow extra time for traffic and airport check-in)

Flight: 1:55 PM back to Sandakan

Reminders:

Leave early to avoid traffic

Double-check flight time & boarding gate

Keep kids’ travel essentials ready (snacks, water, entertainment)
